An FIR was filed against a man from Assam for illegal stone mining at Barapathar in Ri Bhoi district.

Brijite Marak, the landowner, maintained that she had given several warnings to Dipu Kolita against stone mining and using the stone crushing machine on her land.

After a heated argument between the two party, Kolita finally fled the scene.
